Oxford Cloth
Continuous airflow
Your Oxford cloth arch uses the electric blower supplied to maintain constant airflow. Connect the blower to the air intake sleeve and secure it with the strap provided. Once powered on, the arch will inflate within minutes and remain inflated while the blower is running. To pack down, switch off the blower and allow the arch to fully deflate before folding.
PVC Airtight
Inflate, secure and seal
Your PVC arch is airtight and is inflated using the compressor supplied via the inflation valve. Inflate until the arch is firm and holding its shape, then close the valve securely. When packing down, open the valve to release the air and allow the arch to fully deflate before folding it neatly into the storage bag.
1. Secure your arch properly
Secure your arch using the reinforced tie-down points with suitable stakes, ropes, weights or ballast. All anchor points should be firmly secured before use to ensure the arch remains stable and properly positioned, particularly in outdoor environments.
2. Monitor weather and conditions
Keep an eye on wind and changing weather during events. In strong winds or severe conditions, it may be safer to temporarily deflate the arch. Ensure blowers, compressors and electrical leads are kept clear of water at all times.
3. Pack and store correctly
Once fully deflated, fold or roll the arch neatly into its storage bag. Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. Avoid forcing it into tight spaces to prevent unnecessary creasing or stress on seams.
Keeping your arch happy
1. Designed for event use
Pump Media inflatable arches are designed for short-term event use only, not permanent or long-term display. The arch should always be deflated after each event, as prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions will accelerate wear and is not covered under warranty.
2. Expected lifespan with proper care
When used correctly for events and stored between uses, your arch should provide many years of service. Lifespan will vary depending on frequency of use, sun exposure, wind conditions and general handling. Proper care will significantly extend the life of your inflatable arch.
3. Weather and UV exposure
Like all printed materials, prolonged exposure to sunlight will gradually cause colours to fade over time. Harsh weather, UV exposure and environmental conditions can also weaken materials and seams. For best longevity, use the arch for events only and pack it down afterwards.
4. Heavy duty tie-down points
Each arch is fitted with reinforced heavy duty D-rings designed to handle normal event conditions when correctly secured. These anchor points are extremely strong and provide reliable stability when used with suitable weights, stakes or ballast.
5. Handling and transport
Only the supplied electrical equipment or approved alternatives should be used. When setting up or packing down, keep the arch away from sharp edges and rough surfaces. Avoid dragging across concrete or gravel and always lift and fold the arch properly to prevent unnecessary wear or damage.
6. Council regulations
Some venues or event organisers may require electrical equipment to be tested and tagged before use. Requirements vary depending on the location or event, so it is the operator’s responsibility to ensure all equipment meets any applicable safety standards.
